About Ms. Ryan
This is my fourth year teaching in North Shore School District 112. Since the fall of 2008 I have taught a combination of 7th grade math and science classes at Edgewood Middle School. I have had the opportunity to teach 7th grade Pre Algebra, Algebra, and Science. This year I am excited to teach three Pre Algebra classes, two Science classes and one Academic Enrichment Math class. I am also the sponsor of Edgewood’s Go Green club which is open to sixth, seventh and eighth grade students.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in elementary education at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, IL , along with an endorsement in middle school math, science, language arts, and social science. Currently, I am working toward my Masters degree at Loyola University, studying instructional leadership and earning my ELL certificate. I am in my last semester this Fall of 2011 and I am completing an internship as an administrative intern at Wayne Thomas Elementary School.
Prior to teaching in Highland Park I taught for a full year in the sixth grade at a middle school in Crystal Lake, IL teaching math and science. I also have had the opportunity to interact and teach in fourth, fifth, and eighth grades during District 112′s summer school program.
This year, your child will grow tremendously, academically, socially, and emotionally. I am excited to be a part of this experience and look forward to partnering with you, in order to maximize the success your child has during the school year.
Please feel free to contact me by email or phone. I am 100% available for you and your child’s needs.
