Mrs. Schultz's Class

Hi! I am so glad you are checking the blog, as I promised to update it this summer. I hope you are having a great break, and fun in the sun. Ally and I are enjoying summer, and I can’t believe it is already July! So far we have gone to Michigan, to the pool, on a boat, for many walks, to the zoo, and soon we leave for Arizona. Ally loved Michigan, liked the boat as long as it was moving, and was not a huge fan of the pool yet. At the zoo she was much more interested in the people than the animals. She has changed so much from when you saw her last. She “talks” to me, smiles all the time, is a lot bigger, loves to stand and sit with help, and even recognizes voices. Ally loves patterns, musical sounds, and and when you make funny faces.

Please comment on here or email me at my school email, and tell me about your summer so far. I will update again in a few weeks after our trip to Arizona. Enjoy the pictures! I miss you all a lot, and can’t wait to see you in August.

It has truly been a wonderful year. I am so proud of all my fourth graders for their hard work, and all they accomplished this year. I hope you all have a great summer, and I look forward to seeing you in August. I am sure a few of you will be taller than me by then. I will update the blog this summer with pictures of Ally and some stories. Please email me anytime to let me know how you are doing. Have fun!

1. Tomorrow is our picnic at the park, and permission slips MUST be turned in to go. I got about half today. Please bring sunscreen, a lunch, and plenty of water.
2. In the afternoon is our class potluck party. Please bring a dozen of any treat to share.
3. PE will be water day tomorrow so bring a change of clothes. Email Miss Chapman with questions.

Hi everyone! I am so happy to be back, and have jumped right in as if I never left. Mrs. Wieden kept everything running perfectly. Ally is doing great at home with her grandmas. I value my time with her before and after school more than ever. She is just beginning to have “conversations” back and forth with little noises, and she is able to put weight on her legs and push herself up while you hold her. She has the best smile with huge dimples.

This week we are working on our poetry for the show, projects for Winn-Dixie, and making survival guides for the incoming fourth graders. We also have a special spelling test on Friday. It is just for fun, and does not count for a grade. I attached a copy of the list to this post, but it also went home on Tuesday.

Field day is next Monday, so be sure to dress appropriately.

Tues: Poetry show at 10:00am and 2:15pm

Wed: 4th grade picnic at the park (permission slip will come home this week)

Thurs: Step-up day, yearbook signing, dismissal at 11:36am

Friday: Awards assembly, dismissal at 9:56am

Dear Parents and Fabulous Fourth Graders,
Today was my last day in fourth grade. It has been a wonderful few weeks working with all of you. What a pleasure it has been! We’ve had fun and learned a lot too. I know how happy all will be to have Mrs. Schultz return next week, and I know how much she has missed seeing all of you grow as learners. The end of school is most definitely in sight and I know everyone has had a great year.
I want to thank all of you for the thoughtful gifts, quite unexpected and all the more appreciated. The flowers and flower pot will have a special place on my patio and in my heart. I’m off to get a latte and a good book!

I wanted to wish you all GOOD LUCK at the show! I know you will do fantastic. I wish I could come, but Ally isn’t really  ready for school yet. We will be there in the next few weeks to see all of you. Also, when I get back I promise we will have a “show day” where we can watch the video of the sing together. I can’t wait! Welcome back from spring break everyone! I hope you had a fantastic time. I spent the week enjoying our new daughter. Thank you for all the comments and emails. We are doing great, and have our two week check-up this Friday. I will add a few pictures, but trust me I already have hundreds of Ally. I miss you all!

Dear Parents,
Ally Brynn Schultz was born this morning at
6 AM, weighing 9 lbs. 15 oz. and 21 in. long. Mother and baby are both happy and healthy. I will include pictures when I figure out how to do it! Sorry!
The class, of course, was very excited to hear the news and we all sent our good wishes to Mrs. Schultz and Ally.
We’ve had good first week together, and I know everyone is looking forward to the long awaited Spring Break. If you need to reach me my e-mail is:
