All 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be taking the ISAT (Illinois Standard Achievement Test) on February 27 – March 2. Please help your child do his/her best by making sure he/she gets a good night sleep, eats a good breakfast and arrives to school on time. We ask that you minimize appointments and absences during this week. The following are strategies for physical and emotional readiness, time management and test taking skills:

  • Bring two #2 sharpened pencils in your backpack
  • Read the entire question before attempting to choose an answer
  • Pace yourself
  • Use any extra time to double-check your work
  • Erase any answers you decide to change. Mark your new answer clearly
  • Try to eliminate some of the answers that are not correct: This will increase your chances of choosing the correct answer
  • Try your best! Show what you know
