Hi Helena! – Go to the “GAMES” link at the left side of the page. It will take you to a page where you can download and play all kinds of free music games. The one we played in class is called StaffWars V.2. Version 1 is a typing game to learn the note names, but you don’t play your instrument. I also just discovered that you can change the note range by clicking and dragging them on the page where you set your instrument and key. You should drag the bottom note up to an F# and the top note to E.

Congratulations to Mr. Canel and all of the fifth grade band students! It’s hard to believe that the fifth graders have only been playing their instruments since September. The concert last night was truly terrific!

It was really enjoyable, and so much fun to see our principal and the others up there whipping those tubes around. You could tell they loved being involved. Thank you again for all of your hard work. It’s fun to see and hear all the practicing come together to form wonderful music.
