Loyalists vs. Patriots

Should the colonies declare independence or not? We debated this question in social studies this week! Each small group of students represented one of our six historical figures that we read about in our social studies book, and all 5C students did a great job of justifying their loyalist or patriot point of view about declaring independence from Britain!

5th to 6th Grade Math Articulation

All fifth grade students at Braeside will take the 5th to 6th grade math placement assessments this week.  Both assessments will be taken in students’ homeroom classes.  The dates and times of the assessments are as follows:

  • Wednesday, April, 11 from 1:45-2:45 p.m. – Math Inventory Assessment
  • Thursday, April 12 from 2:15-2:45 p.m. – Illinois Math League Contest

We would appreciate it greatly if you would avoid picking your child up early either of the next two days while we are administering these district assessments. Thank you!
